Porn Corn

The phallic shape of the corn as well as the ability to transform the grains into popcorn as its temperature increases, gave rise to its maker to create this mini erotic story from a very plastic perspective.

This piece was filmed with a real ear of corn, along with two stoves and a paint stripper that gradually gave off heat. The tests until getting the opening of the corn grains to be as consecutive as possible, turned out to be, without a doubt, the most complicated part of the project.

The art direction plays a very important role in this piece: the pink colour that aims to evoke the skin, as well as the changes in light as the temperature rises, were very well studied.

The pyramid was built with the idea of representing that altar close to heaven, giving the moment of climax a divine value, which we reinforced with the use of the heavenly light at the end of the piece. All this integrated in a minimalist and clean set, typical of Frägil’s aesthetics.

A project that was a challenge to be able to be carried out without resorting to digital composition to obtain the result we were hoping for.
